The Norfolk Pine trees (Araucaria heterophylla) along Burleigh Heads foreshore, are historically significant in demonstrating an activity that made an influential contribution to the character and identity of Burleigh Heads. Initially planted in 1934 by brothers Charles Justins and A. E. Justins, the trees have come to represent the notable contribution the Justins family made to the development of the Burleigh Heads area. Today, the mature trees form an important and signature part of the Burleigh Heads foreshore landscape and vista.
